Tourism continues to fall after socio-political crisis<br>According to the study "Situation of tourist SMEs in 2019", prepared by the National Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR) with the help of the Nicaraguense Foundation for Economic and Social Development (Funides).<br>According to Lucy Valenti President of CANATUR, the study was based on the compilation of 350 surveys of tourist sites such as Matagalpa, León, Catarina, Granada, and San Juan del Sur. The document details that international tourism is scarce. In 2017, 62.7% of tourism was international and 37.3% were national. This year's change, now 70.2% is domestic tourism, and 29.8% is foreign.
